Tungnath Chandrashila 

Har Har Mahadev!!! With the blessings of Lord Shiva, we were able to do the Tungnath trek which we were planning for the last two years. 

Trip Itinerary: 

Home > Leave for Haridwar > Reach Sari Village > Do Devariya tal Trek as a warm-up > Trek to Tungnath > Trek to Chandrashila > Visit Bandrinath > Kalpeshwar > Haridwar > Home Sweet Home 

It took us 5 days to the complete the trip. 

The twist came in after the 3rd day when we had Darshan timings in Badrinath at around 8:30 am. We had earlier planned to do Mana Village and Auli on the 4th Day. There is no single trip where we have sticked to the originally planned itinerary and this trip was no different either. And I must say that these modifications make the journey even more exciting and adventurous. 

Let me start from the beginning. 

We have worked on this trip for months. It was a group of four friends - Me from Delhi and other three from Ludhiana and all were looking forward to this trip. I started from Delhi and one of my friends started from Ludhiana a day before as we wanted to spend some time in Haridwar. We both met at the railway station and headed for a hotel near Har Ki Paudi. We got lucky to get accommodation in Hotel Purohit. It started drizzling as we checked into the hotel. We were hungy and thought of having Poori at Mathura Poori. But we did not stop there, we now had lacha Kulfi and by the time we finished it had started raining heavily. We ran towards our hotel but before that we thought of having a cup of tea right next to our hotel which was a correct decision. We then went to the room, had some rest, and did not realize that it was time for the Ganga Aarti at 6 pm. This time we wore ponchos and attended the Aarti. It was amazing experience. Post then, we went to Hoshirpuri Dhaba and had light dinner. On the way back, we identified the place where we were going to start the trek next morning for Mata Mansa Devi. We spent some time sitting around Ganga river and standing on the bridge near Har Ki Paudi before we went back to the hotel for a good night sleep.

Jaisalmer - Thar Desert: Sam Sand Dunes and beyond  The much awaited trip after Rann of Kutchch was the Sam Sand Dunes. It came as a surprise as it was a last-minute plan and we could not get confirmed train tickets and flight prices were sky rocketing already.
